Is the association a sort of insurance?

No, it isn’t insurance. It is a benefit that Eton School students have so they can finish their studies through high school in the unfortunate event of the death or complete and permanent disability of their registered economic support provider.

Is it mandatory to pay the association’s yearly fee?

In order for our children to have this protection, we all have to comply with the member requirements, one of which is the yearly contribution to the association.

What is an economic support provider?

The parent, legal guardian, or person registered at Eton School Mexico as the individual in charge of paying for the educational services provided. They must appoint, in the MAR form, the student(s) who would receive the scholarship in case of their death or disability. To register someone other than a parent or legal guardian as the economic support provider, it is necessary to prove their economic standing and health to the Board of Directors.

What happens to all the money I paid when my child finishes their studies or switches schools?

All the contributions families pay become part of the association’s trust fund, which can then be used to finance scholarships for students who need it.

Can I register more than one economic support provider?

Each student can have up to two economic support providers. The percentage of fees that each of them will be paying must not total more than 100%. The percentage indicated for each economic support provider is the same percentage that will be covered by the scholarship should it be needed.

Can I change the economic support provider I registered?

The economic support provider can only be changed during the school’s re-enrollment period, meaning the change won’t go into effect until the start of the following school year. For example, if you request the change in February or March of 2025 (re-enrollment period) and it is approved, it will go into effect on the first day of the 2025-2026 school year.

Can I pay double the fee?

No, you can only pay the contribution once per student every school year.

How long will my child get the scholarship should they need it?

They will have it until they conclude their last year of high school or its equivalent.

Can a scholarship recipient switch schools and keep the scholarship?

Yes, as long as it is approved by the Board and it complies with the association’s regulations. Students can attend Eton or any public or private school located in Mexico or another country in the American continent. It must be recognized officially by the competent educational authority of the country in question, and it must allow for the use of the scholarship funds.

Do the members of the Board get paid for their services?

No. The members of the Board of Directors do not get paid for their services.

What does the scholarship cover?

Enrollment fees, tuition, books, mandatory school bus service (if applicable), and UNAM, International Baccalaureate, and Parent-Teacher Association fees, either at Eton or another school.

Since when is my child eligible for the scholarship?

From the first day of the school year in which they are enrolled.

Are school breaks covered?

1. Re-enrollment: Students who re-enrolled after having spent a year at Eton are protected from the first day of the school year in which they are enrolled and until the day before the following school year begins.
2. Enrollment: The protection granted to students newly enrolled at Eton begins on the first day of the school year they are starting, regardless of the date when they first enrolled.
