October 29: Regular School Day
Thursday, October 29 will no longer be a short day, as marked in the school calendar. It will be a regular school day. The school bus service and the After-School Program will operate as usual.
Likewise, the Day of the Dead and Halloween celebration will continue as planned.
Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) Workshop
Last Friday, students interested in pursuing a career in architecture were able to attend the Traveling Sketch-Art of Urban Sketching workshop. Professor Hsu-Jen Huang, who teaches architecture at SCAD, led the workshop focusing on architectural and urban sketching.
These classes are learning opportunities for students to develop sketching methods and learn techniques for different mediums.
Multi-Factor Authentication
Important information about protecting students’ school email accounts
As part of our commitment to digital security, we will enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for High School students who use the school’s Microsoft 365 tools.
Within the school network, students will be able to access their academic resources as usual, without requiring additional verification. When accessing these resources from outside the school, however, students will be required to complete a second verification step through the Authenticator app, which they will need to download and install on a second device to protect their account and the academic information associated with it.
Multi-Factor Authentication is a widely used security practice among organizations and digital services such as Microsoft, Amazon, online banking services, and entertainment platforms. Its purpose is to ensure that only the authorized user can access their account.
In addition to strengthening security, this initiative is part of our educational approach for promoting the responsible use of technology and the development of good digital citizenship practices.
To learn more about what Multi-Factor Authentication is and why it is important, we invite you to consult Microsoft’s official guide:
Microsoft Security: What is Multi-Factor Authentication?
Thank you for your support in helping us build a safe digital environment for our entire educational community.

We use critical and creative thinking skills to analyze and take responsible action on complex problems. We exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions.
What does this look like?
